Making art in the face of nothing to be gained other than its freedom of action is all one ever needs to know about courage. Poets and artists are crazy with courage to strike the anvil over and over again even if time has just about slipped away to oblivion.

Columbus triggers a lot of people these day. He was a flawed human who belonged to his time. All of history is violence. Osho wasn't moralizing or justifying a position, he was simply discussing the courage it must have taken to depart the shores of the known for the unknown seas. The article isn't about Columbus.
