The nature of authority is to prey on the fears and doubts of its subjects. That’s what makes it so powerful and freedom so hard for the majority to obtain

Wow. Found this right after listening to Porter Wagoner (the former Mr. Dolly Parton) sing "SATISFIED MIND." Thanks for both, the Daumier and the Krishnamurti. My cerebellum is a roll of unpopped bubble wrap, clear as a river or a silent bell with a healthy iconic crack in it. Good for you, Mr. Outlaw!

"To be free, you have to examine authority, the whole skeleton of authority, tearing to pieces the whole dirty thing." - quite a profound line. It's interesting, how we move in our lives, aspiring to external beliefs and never truly quite being free of the very thing we want to be free of, or the life we would like to pursue.
