Valuable input. Life is about the “having had”. Not the “keeping”. Experience is more valuable than possessions.

A dear friend is a novelist who lived in Paris in the 60s. Our weekly coffees, where I just sit and listen, are a treasure. The word for what I feel, listening to him and reading this poem, is anemoia - nostalgia for a time I never even knew.

YES. I am so grateful to have found Poetic Outlaws. I have always read poems alone, and I do it now also. I don't go to poetry readings. I don't read my own poems in public either. A poem is a personal experience. Intimate. Only two persons in the room. The writer and the reader. But the knowledge that YOU, the other reader, is here in the same room brings me great comfort. A new experience for me. Thank you!
