First, I feel compelled to offer deep gratitude to Erik Rittenberry for these glimpses into the creative spirit and sublimely different ways of being. So thankful for your writing and your thoughtful offerings of the writing of other luminaries.

Terrence McKenna offers us salvation from the half-dead world, from those who would subdue us, from a lackadaisical reality to one that shines with possibility. Anyone up for a pillow fight?

McKenna was an amazing thinker, from "Invisible Landscapes" to "The Archaic Revival" and beyond, one of the most luminously sane minds I've ever encountered.

Faith. Faith. Faith.

This poem is a beautiful encapsulation of my personal "religion"

It's just so damn hard to find that courage to jump sometimes. But you don't know if you don't try right?

Thanks again Erik for all the treasures you find for a grateful and thirsty community. 💜

Hee Haw! I flung myself into the abyss many times and it never was a feather bed, in fact, it was awful, but had I not done it, I would be someone else entirely :-).

Bravo. In today's world where logic feels lost in chaos, and we seem to have lost our rhythm, dare to just do IT. Whatever IT is that you have a glimpse or glimmer of as a positive possibility to elevate your quality of truly living. Only YOU can decide what this is.

I, for one, woke earlier this week and KNEW I must spend as much winter time in Mexico as I can, and shed the burdens and baggage of past regrets. Simplicity, sun and sea are essential to my soul. Spring cleaning has begun.

Terence McKenna,

Your words give hope and rekindle a yearning that somehow we can walk into a world and experience what those “who really touched the alchemical gold” saw and knew. Each day is a new chance for the feather bed realization.

Your words resonate deeply with the spirit of courage and possibility. It's a reminder that when we dare to dream big and commit ourselves fully, the universe conspires to support us. The idea of nature responding to our courage by removing obstacles is both empowering and liberating. It's a call to embrace the unknown, to dive headfirst into our aspirations, trusting that even in the face of uncertainty, we'll find a soft landing.

Wake up . It takes courage to rise out of a feather bed and soft down pillow. Think. Will. Act. Just be alive jump in to the big pool of coffee grounds or tea leaves. The feather duster is near you got your work to do. Tie your shoes. Step into life. But make the right decision. Takes courage.

Terence was an important thinker that came out of the psychedelic movement. He is an outlaw but no poet. No magic in his words. He just chops up prose to pass it off as poetry,
