Your photography is beautiful. Crisp and clear like a Fall day. I must admit that having spent my first 44 years in New England, I dreaded Fall because it meant just one thing--winter was coming. Since I fled the east to go to San Diego to get warm and now North Carolina, I no longer fear Autumn and winter so I have a better appreciation for the change from summer to Fall.

My thought exactly! I dread Fall for the same reason. Not that Winter is not beautiful, it is, but just like cats I like warm weather

One of my favorite poems is Keats' To Autumn . . . besides its gorgeous imagery, has a very mesmerizing rhyme scheme.

Thanks Erik for this piece. From Goethe: "It is nicer to think than to do, to feel than to think, but nicest of all merely to look." Happy October.

Stunning images! We are still very green here in Wisconsin. I appreciate your share of our “coming attraction”… minus the mountains. :)

I love this: "“Delicious autumn! My very soul is wedded to it, and if I were a bird I would fly about the earth seeking the successive autumns.”—George Eliot

Fall has always been my favorite season. Something restless in the wind that makes me feel like my life is being stirred by primal forces. Thank you for this, Erik!
