According to the Tibetan Buddhists, who make a deep nd profound and exacting study of death - it is not a sleep, oh no! Death is exquisitely, painfully detailed and blazing with detail confusing experience that ends with rebirth (your spirit is so exhausted and confused, the sex act looks like a refuge) or, if you have practiced assiduously and constantly in life, moving to another plane - end of suffering.

To paraphrase a fantastic novel: Death is a goon squad that comes for us all. In the meantime, to paraphrase another fantastic fictional character, Al from Deadwood: Give a few back before you're gone.
