Picked up Dharma Bums at a used bookstore. Love Kerouac.

Nice list. I've read half of them and will make a point of reading the other half during this coming year.

Great & Interesting list. I totally dig the ones I’ve read: The Stranger, Cannery Row, The Dharma Bums, and probably my Favorite--Blood Meridian. I also had the chance several years ago to see the old B&W film version of Hunger, though I haven’t read the book yet. The film was Norwegian, I believe, and was bleaker than Anything Bergman ever filmed...that’s no knock--I’m a self confessed Ingmar Bergman fanatic. But the film version of Hunger had me mesmerized! Thanks for the new recommendations! I’ve read a fair amount of Bukowski’s poetry, but have yet to read his novels--When I read “Tales of Ordinary Madness,” I cackled aloud when I read one poem’s title: “Great Poets Die in Steaming Pots of Shit.” Cheers!
