NIETZSCHE: The Eternal Recurrence

In his book The Gay Science, Nietzsche delivers a profound thought experiment that forces us to ponder the possibility that all events in life—every moment, decision, and experience—repeat infinitely, precisely as they have before.

This Nietzschian concept poses a profound challenge: if you were to relive your life over and over again, would you embrace it fully, or would the thought of repeating every joy and suffering feel like a curse?

Would we feel trapped in an unbearable fate?

If so, it means we haven’t yet found the deep, affirmative value in every part of ourselves and our lives. But if we could say YES and embrace this idea with joy, we’d understand that every single moment is important, valuable, and necessary.
